Last Saturday’s puzzle attracted a lot of posts. This week’s might also.
45a is a 20 letter word - possibly the longest I’ve ever seen in any crossword. The clue is:
Token resistance, slowly changing, is subversive (20)
Surely an anagram, but which words add up to 20?

So it wasn’t an anagram after all.
Thanks gypsyfoot.

43 Steam Iron, something that smooths. S, south , Team, side, Iron, club.

47 Jet Lag - I don't parse Spoonerisms as I detest them, but it's an issue when travelling.

Last one
37a where you might find better or flipping remarkable person (4)
?e?o

Is it Hero or Reno?

I can see the flipping or, but surely HE is not his excellency in this clue

Can’t parse Reno

The "or flipping" gives the RO of HERO, but I agree that the HE is obscure!

A Oner is a remarkable person, one of a kind etc. Reno is where you might find a better, gambler - flip Reno and you'd have Oner.
