Funny story there.

I'd been looking forward to buying Dragnet since getting the first one. So when it came out I got on the bus into Birmingham and got it from the only shop cool enough to have such stuff. When I got home I feverishly took it out of its carrier bag, got the LP out......and it was a Foreigner album. To be fair, the bloke in the shop did sympathise. " I bet that was a shock " he said. A shock ? I'm still traumatized to this day

No evidence that anyone else has had a butchers at this, but I can imagine that some might be put off by the playlist I included. This was a bit of a niche genre intended for FieryJack, but all music welcome. I would imagine anything to while away some time is welcome right now, and we all enjoy listening to music, I imagine.
It's not my intention to flood this with my own tastes in music, but I thought I'd just post something which might have a wider appeal. So I've compiled a jazz playlist.

hi guys
I joined this forum 2011 and I now just pop in occasionally.

Now you're talking.....Nina Simone....Dizzy Gillespie....two favourites of mine.
Here's a link to my cousin Colin - retired jazz drummer, now aged 85 and residing in California.
If you scroll down, there's a pic of him with Dizzy.

Hope the regulars on here are keeping safe and well, as well as everyone else of course.

You're cousin has played with lots of the greats, must have had a ball.

Hi Jazzgirl
Nice clip ! That's proper jazz, that is. My list was all sorts of stuff. Apt that there was an ode to Gene Krupa in it though ! He was drummer in Glenn Miller's outfit I remember seeing him play a ' drum solo ' with matchsticks on the side of a matchstick ! ( If you're interested, he performs it at the end of " Drum Boogie " from the movie " Ball of fire ", it's on Youtube )
Good to see that it's not only FJ and myself contributing to this thread !
