A word of explanation for other members of this forum.

This got started between https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0PAEm7aLCRnH5ezNeFLllsJWksmrtXyd and myself, as we had similar tastes in music. The playlist below is with him in mind, but this thread could be useful for anyone who's into music and wants to discover some new stuff. The said playlist is a bit niche, maybe, but personally I'm into blues, jazz, reggae, soul, rockabilly and 60s garage / psychadelia too. Come to that, post anything you like and see if your fellow crosswordites share your tastes !
FJ, I've deliberately chosen some lesser-known bands, by and large, some which I know from back in the day, some recent finds. The last few songs are more up-to-date, as you'll see.

Malcolm I think you have a much more in depth knowledge of said genre than me.

With that list most of the stuff I know will be more recognizable to yourself and others. I hate to say it but I feel really mainstream now eek!

But I deliberately chose the obscurer stuff. If you get the chance to do a playlist some time, chuck in a few different musical styles, perhaps. Folks are bound to like some. It's like if you buy a compilation cd ; you might only like a few tracks but then you have some new artists to check out. I might do some more if this gets picked up by a few people, but may well choose better known material.

I agree, I was a little bit premature as I would have to use library anyway. With the lockdown ongoing I've been using more data than usual on my phone.

Yes, would be nice is someone else is interested. Don't be put off if that playlist isn't your cup of tea, folks. There lots of great music of every genre out there !
