This week’s Everyman was apposite to my life at the moment...

A walk in the park 🙂

Apart from 13d, which took me as long to find as all of the other clues combined.

COD 22ac - a really original anagram indicator.

Hi Richard
I think you must mean 25A (no anagram in 22A that I can see). Overall, I'm guessing the setter has been spending quite a bit of time in the garden! Stay safe everyone.

I don't often do the Everyman (time on my hands now!), so I don't know if this is a regular occurrence, but, in addition to 24d, we have seen very similar ideas to 5d and 7d in the Guardian very recently.

The clueing was a bit repetitive - lots of anagrams and hiddens. The "homophone" in 26a is ridiculous!

Hi Matador,

I saw LZ being honoured at the Kennedy Centre and I thought Heart's rendition of Stairway was pretty good. I particularly like Lenny Kravitz doing Whole Lotta Love.

Hi Phil,

Yes 25ac, my bad.

There were quite a lot of “hidden in the clue” answers which I find the easiest of all clues.

Hi Catcharmer,

it's a previous UK Prime Minister minus it's first letter (not B(old) - definition is "retreat"

Hi Fop,

it a homophone/reported of a 5 letter word for "destruction" - the definition is "playground" and it's an informal/slang abbr. of a 10 letter word
