Hi dorrien, my previous effort was a valid effort but more than a tad overlong.

The Sun, page 3 (3,5)

Thanks for your efforts this week for what I thought was a difficult challenge.
We had 12 setters and about 26 entries and I enjoyed reading them all.
I particularly liked Paul#3, the very productive Mattrom #5,#8 and # 23, Aristo#6, Nemo#10, FJ#12, Hannah #17 (best straight anagram), Tyke51#21, and Ginge#31.

Really difficult decision but I have.....

Bronze going to Ginge#31 subtractive anagram

Initially Hubble optics tracked surface plumes on the Sun (3,5)

Gold going to Mattrom@23 for the amusing

Thank you, Dorrien, for your choice, and a productive word to clue. Clever sculptures - it would be interesting to see how those in living trees develop over time, as the trees try to grow around them.

It has felt a bit like "On The Beach" here, with Au the last outpost. My suburb, Bondi, has gone from being a tourist hotspot to one of a different kind. There is toilet paper on the shelves again, though.

Now to rack my brains about next week,
