I think the QM in 2D as mentioned by prospero must make "legs" the favourite, the other possibles just don't seem cryptic enough.

I like the late contender for 10A (martial arts rankings) but marginally prefer the variant household god plural/male name.

Late to the party on this one, but for what it's worth, my woolly thinking had pin-pointing and Tenpin bowling as a shoe-in for Prospero's 'legs' at 2d. Still none the wiser re 10a....

BTW, does anyone get Hugh's newsletters these days? I haven't had one for years

Prospero, I see that Fifteensquared has, somewhat tentatively, gone with DANS/BIAS for 10a/2d. It will be interesting to see what the setter had in mind tomorrow.
