I only got the RT this afternoon. I HOPE that I haven't finished it completely. PLEASE tell me that 9a is not four consecutive letters from the clue!

Have been away! Just back to the Rad Times! What is 5 down??? I have ?e?e?e??? Is it me or are these crosswords getting sillier and sillier or am I losing my marbles and they are getting more difficult and obtuse and I am too aged to cope with the mental strain!!!!
