Just 1 little niggle...
36d Men killed in area of battlefield clash (4) SE?T looks like "sect" with a misprint in clash ...clasS. How would that parse?

Kirky, that puzzled me too - then I came up with Sector, being an area of battlefield, drop the OR/men killed, and you have Sect, class.

I'd never heard of the themed creator, or of his gumshoes. Looking into the grid, I was hoping they would be called ANNA PENSIL and ERICA BRET. Trust Google to spoil it! They'd be great names for a pair of amateur snoopers of the retired genteel lady variety.

I’m a bit stuck. Can anyone give a hint for 10a please?

They garble every promotion about drinks? On the contrary (10)
?A?L???ER?

There maybe a misprint in the definition.

Also, I had ANOA for 6d Producer of meal from German oats

with a misprint of Meat for Meal. Is that correct? It doesn’t give me very likely across words, though.

Thank you.
