A nice one by Oxymoron (aka Schadenfreude) - not his last, I hope. All done apart from the title, where I can't for the life of me find the 7th misprint needed. A bit like Alan Bennett's last little scrap of sardine in the tin.

bananabean - that's exactly the one I was missing. There's always a snag with dbl. defs. with misprints in the def. Must remember this next time!

Hi

I can see what words go along the top and bottom and what goes in the middle cell.

The title and what to highlight confuse me.

The anagrammed letters seem to spell u?????r ?

Help please what am I looking for in the title and highlighting?

The anagram starts u but ends a.

I think you may have a letter wrong.

I have an almost full grid with both the top and bottom rows completed but am struggling with 26a (Moved knight here, not bishop - 6) and 21d (Family's crest on the Spanish medal - 3). I have a two word non-English title at the moment (that could well be wrong) but have no idea about the centre square. I assume that is where 3 letters become 1. After that it will be a case of trying to find the 23 cells to be highlighted. Any nudges in the right direction would be much appreciated,

You haven't got a square yet, alwayspuzzled, with three letters in it, and two unsolved clues which intersect in one square....

Thank you for that Throck. I have now got the two answers and the three letters in the one cell. I still cannot work out how those three become one (unless it is a Roman numeral) and the significance of the empty cell (unless it is meant to be left empty). After that it will be down to the final word search which I suspect has something to do with the puzzle number as those ending -00 usually have. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
