Far too late in the week to get help probably, but I am a perfectionist and despite having completed the endgame I'm irrtated by two clues I can't parse, viz

7dn 'Groovy sticker is so [= def of one who is stuck IN A RUT?] like "Are You Texting?" [RU in text-speak] - but how is IN A T clued?

42dn 'Port [BARI] in first or ninth pub?' - so BAR 1 is the first but what is the ninth?

42d. 1st using numerals (as you got) or 9th using letters.

Thanks ginge but the clues now that they're explained just seem a bit lame.

Of course RU is in A RUT but to leave two letters out of six unclued is a poor show. RU could be in a lot of other things. You effectively have to get the defined term or you are sunk.

Hi again ionacarr, for what it's worth I don't like it as a clue either but I suppose some leeway is allowed with the finishing ?, "like" in the clue and "in"part of the answer.
