I think that has to be the answer. The crossing letters give G?E?N ?L?E
Philip gives Green and Blue is 'gets depressed'.

It's GREEK BLUE.

GREEK (Maybe Philip - DofE) Blue (Gets Depressed) in a colour (in shade)
