... so, 'lawyer' in the clue might be a bit misleading.

Lawyers do debate with one another what terms mean so maybe, but i think diplomat would have been a better word to use Phil1000, given the context in which that particular phrase is used

Absolutely -- God help us if and when lawyers get to decide when to send in the bombers! (Although given current and soon-to-be world leaders, maybe it couldn't be any worse!)
