Terrier, now that I've got the puzzle, I think you're right.

The other thread understandably chews over the fact that this is a pretty easy puzzle - but then why can I not get 24a? I'm pretty sure of the crossing letters but nothing seems to fit. And unlike the other clues, this one seems impenetrable - to me, anyway

I'm doing this from memory, don't have the puzzle in front of me, but now I recall the clue order (not that it makes any difference) should be ( tu(r)n le(f)t )*

This is one of the easiest. Or, to put it another way, I have managed to complete the grid and indeed seen the endgame.
My however concerns 3 down.
Are weeping troops heaven heads mostly (3).
The third word in the clue is superfluous but is the middle letter of the answer i or o? I simply can't parse either.

What's the parsing of 46D (Palestinian ready before unwrapping) please ? I can't find an item of money which would lead to Uzi.
