The "poems" are great fun!

I think you've been missing out on a lot......but you can make up for it now... a lot of children's books are better read as an adult.
Like "Alice in Wonderland" and the Narnia series.

"Swallows and Amazons" by Arthur Ransome were a great favourite of mine, when a child.
(I still have a few!)

The Pooh books were perfectly targeted, as children liked having them read to them and parents liked reading them!

I only knew that Eeyore was mopish after Philip Hammond was nicknamed Eeyore!
