Hi again. An excellent response and I could have picked pretty much any one of the entries. After whittling it down, my favourites of the anagrams were skyewalker@2 and the clever, subtractive devices of fiery@15 and ginge@16. Of the pure “wordplays”, I was drawn to aristo@13 and therogue@22. But the stand-out clue for me this week was mattrom’s post 21:
“Fly around track chasing hot rods”.
I know that matron is a frequent winner of this competition but I thought her entry this week was a real cracker and impossible to overlook. It took a few moments to work it out, but it was even more delicious for that. (If I was being picky, I would have preferred a “?” or some other indicator of DBE, but it doesn’t really matter.)
I was hoping to find a hardware-related clip as a prize, but I failed to find anything new. I stumbled across this instead:

It’s got nothing to do with hardware but I found it oddly apposite for us poor-suffering Poms.
Congratulations, mattrom, and thanks to all for taking part.
