I didn't get all the missing letters - enough to see what they formed, where they are… then they move to where they should be, leaving a representation.

Hello I have filled the grid and found 12 of the 13 letters - can’t see which clue the penultimate letter comes from as only have 4 clues using it and it is not omitted in wordplay in these 4 clues. Where am I going wrong?

Also do I then just move the 13 letters back to their ‘original’ places

Qesue, I've got that letter coming from the 'Remove constraints...' clue. Yes, I just moved the letters back.

Moved the letters back leaving the column empty...colouring in...googled him to no avail....

I'm not sure either, kirky. But look for the 9 vertical letters ending in vi. Look that up and you'll see what the end result should look like. I haven't coloured my grid in as I used blue ink in the first place.

Kirky, Orson, the 'v.... l...' came in the preamble - 'identified by nine cells in a ...' It helped me, but I'm sorry if it confused others!
