With just over an hours voting left Rossim #14 has opened up a clear lead ahead of an otherwise very open field.

But there are five votes still out there, so calling BBM and FieryJack, Geevo, Hannah and Paul - your votes could be important!

What a bumper crop! Too many good ones to list all, but my favourites were; SW 5, Mattrom 9 )same construction as me- what’s not to like?!), Rossin 14, Steve 25, finally Nemo 47. Very clever!
In second place Spike 21 (brilliant!).
Just nudging into pole position for me is Aristo’s outstanding and underrated (IMHO) 10.

A splendid crop of clues, no shortage of clever clues, and funny clues too. Yes we have Hannah’s vote outstanding but I am at a party and if I get any more soused nothing at all will get done. So here goes.

BRONZE MEDALLISTS AND PRIZE
In bronze medal place with one vote each are Spike2 with #39, Geevo41 #11, PeterM #24, Aristo #10, Paul #6 and SteveA6000 #25. Congratulations all.

The Bronze Medal prize is here, thunder somewhat stolen by SkyeWalker and FieryJack, with apologies in advance:

SILVER MEDALLISTS AND PRIZE
In silver medal place with two votes are Mattrom #41, Spike2 #21 and Tyke51 #30. Congratulations to all three of them.

The Silver Medal prize is beyond my skill to put online, unfortunately. There were those in the civil service of old who maintained that this was a true story appropriated by the scriptwriters of ‘Yes Minister’ – here is a transcript:

Episode One: Equal Opportunities
[How to deal with a nonsensical complaint]
Bernard: We can CGSM it.
Hacker: CGSM?
Bernard: Civil Service code, Minister. It stands for "Consignment of Geriatric Shoe Manufacturers".
Hacker: What?
Bernard: A load of old cobblers, Minister.
Hacker: I'm not a civil servant. I shall use my own code. I shall write: "round objects".

[...later...]

Bernard: You remember that letter you wrote "Round Objects" on?
Hacker: Oh yes.
Bernard: It's come back from Sir Humphrey's office. He's commented on it.
Hacker: What does he say?
Bernard: Who is Round and to what does he object?

WINNER, AND THEIR PRIZE
The clear winner with three votes is Rossim #14 with the deliciously brisk
"Dances with audacity (5)"

Congratulations Rossim, I hope you enjoy this prize. It is paid for by a commercial concern so please forgive the last few seconds.

Thank you all, very much, great fun. Have a good weekend and congratulations again to Rossim.
