Wow! Either I was a million miles off the setters wavelength or that is the hardest Everyman I've ever encountered. I'd be interested to hear how others found it.

P.S. That was in no way meant as a criticism.

There is so much to enjoy in this with 1a, 13a, 18a and 27a perhaps the standouts among some really brilliant and concise cluing - it looks The Everyman is back :-)

I have not finished it yet, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Tough but fairly clued, I think.

Definitely Suzy, very tough but, as you say, very fair.

Glad others are struggling, thought it was just me. Is sorry the definition in 1d?

Hi Peter, this was the one definition that I thought was maybe a bit questionable. It's "something applied to your phone" but, to be honest, it's more likely something one would do on a computer.

Good luck and well done to those who can do crosswords of this degree of difficulty. I can normally complete Everyman 8 times out of 10 but this is simply not enjoyable and for me it is a bit like tackling the AZED where I can usually do about six clues.

Peter, I'm sure it's just a typo, but O is the second letter not the third.
