Apologies to Peterm and to everyone,

I wish to withdraw both my @7 and @10 - as ChrisE has so
rightly pointed out, they do not work as nothing indicates an anagram
of "lie" . I obviously was not thinking straight when I wrote them!

chrise: A pile is a column driven into the ground to hold up a building. A killing is a large amount of money, as in making a killing in the stock market. The surface is of course misdirecting.
