As far as sloppy "proof reading" of the EV, I have on occasions e-mailed the EV Editor, Chris Lancaster. He has cited several reasons why the errors have occurred, human error being just one. I have asked him to print an apology in the paper, he has agreed to do that alongside the next EV., but with the provision "if appropriate"!
I also invited him to post a similar apology on this site. Which he clearly has not done! If each of you were to e-mail him at chris.lancaster@telegraph.co.uk or EVeditor@telegraph.co.uk each time there was an avoidable error we might see an improvement in "proof reading"
