I've just read back to see what I had said that "worried" you….
I had meant to put that I didn't know that particular meaning of "SUPPLE" (ie fawning) ...not "supplement" (boost)
I am sorry if I caused confusion!
Yet another "senior moment"!

I guessed it was supplement (boost) due to the 'spam of the day' but fawning was new to me too.

Elle, Chambers doesn't give 'boost' under 'supplement', so I started thinking my clue could be regarded as unfair. I'm glad it was just a senior moment on your part!

Rossim, the spammers are leading me to learn new words, meanings - but I'm unlikely to remember them all!

... some of those new words could easily have been expletives, given our feelings on spam! Fortunately, we're a polite bunch!
