Well as i said there were some very special clues this week.
Fieryjack's #6 probably the pick of the prim+e type and steve's #18 edging out tatters in the numericals .
A special mention to aristophanes for the medical knowledge on display in the brilliant #20 (and 29!) and kudos to mattrom for the very clever #17.

A shame rosalind's #22 was 'just for fun' it could have been in contention.

Much as I loved ginge;s "strikes back" #7 and fiery's king of troy homonym #35, I have decded the winner is peterm with the wonderfully apposite #34
