I can't parse it either. But that is true for a number of solutions I have.

eg. 27ac I have K?E?P?R?R. Are my crossers right?
13d I have R???S?r?

In addition I can't solve 11,23. I think I have the first word, but cannot get the second. I have F???E?? C?R?S?L Are my crossers right? Can I have a hint please?

I didn't start until after 6.00pm as I've had a very busy day.

Got 11,23 now. It was obvious! But my crossers were wrong, so back to the drawing board for 20 and 21 d.

27a Sorry but I think that only your second E is correct.
There is no 13d! If you mean 18d your last R is wrong.

I have finished but I don't think I've ever had so many answers left unparsed.
I seem to be on a different wavelength to Paul today.

I have now got the right answer for 18d and thus the correct answer for 27ac. I finally got 8,22 and 6,5d. As a result I have finished apart from 7d where I have ?R?A?I, though I'm not sure about these crossers.

Like you I haven't been able to parse a lot of them and I do like Paul usually, but I found this one difficult.

I'm off to bed as I've lots to do tomorrow.

Just in case you should come back to check, for 7d I think you have the first letter (R) wrong. The first word in the clue gives you the definition.

I too found this one tough, but not as much as Friday's cryptic.

7d I don't have an R for the first letter either.
However, looking at it again I have managed to parse it.

There was an strange synonym for cooker.
