I too thought this was great. I never come on to post about how wonderful a particular puzzle is - others might not agree, others might be finding it tricky, others might have still to see it.

PS Enigmatic Variations, in Sunday's Telegraph, was good fun too.

Well I'm struggling big time with this one! So to get me going again could some kind person help me with: 6 across: Packed rice tight (6) ?O???? 10 across: Aim of writer undergoing stomach-turning experience (4) ?R?? 12 across: Experience loss of motor control when a queen gets excited about lap dancing (9) ??U?P???? Each clue contains a misprint of one letter. As you can see by the amount of letters I've got I really do need help!

6 The misprint is in the second word. It's a triple definition, maybe you'll get it from the first and third words?
10 The writer isn't an author, but something that writes.

Thank you everyone. Am I correct that the first word of the poem is 'eye' which? should be 'I' - I'm having great trouble finding out what the verse is could someone give me a hint? Thanks

Agreed, last few IQs have been wonderful. I just started this type of crossword a few weeks ago and I am full of admiration for the skill and imagination used in creating such great puzzles. Anyway, I finally got round to this yesterday and have it completed, bar one. For 13 down I have N.RTE.O. I just can’t find a word. Perhaps I’ve made an error, but I’m reasonably confident in the other answers. Any nudges please?
