I just did a reply, but must have forgotten to hit send!

Thanks for this it confirmed the word I was thinking of, but clearly I can't spell. It now leaves me with 13ac, 10ac and 7d. The latter - First to grow more delicate Alpine flower (7) for which I have the following crossers G???I?? I'm assuming it is a flower. I'd be grateful for any hint for any or all of the above.

First to Grow = G (which you have) then more delicate as in a fabric.

Not a flower in a garden, much colder than that.
