37a Fight fires at top of hill (4) COM? some letters wrong?

Help please with what to do with the 24 letters ... i have a fair few of them but they are not making any sense...

I've got COMB for that one = top of hill, but I cannot parse it. There are a few others I cannot parse and even though I've filled the grid, the extra letters don't make any sense to me.

got it now after looking in chambers comB ...didn't know that defn

Unless it's fight = combat and "at" is fired. Funny how you see it straight after posting it.

I have a full grid with the 24 letters giving 6 names. Is there just 1 letter change in 1 word or am i missing something?
