Very nice aristo, I imagine a real pdm with the definition on solving in a puzzle. Thanks for taking the trouble to explain your reasoning and your kind comments (as you say a reversal is still an anagram).
Cheers skyewalker, just as well entry to the Wheatsheaf isn't by dated ticket. Loved Rutland Weekend TV and remember gutting myself at the Pink Panzer.

Nice surprise! You folks are sweet. Thanks for the votes, ginge, pigale, geevo, and paul, and for the mentions, fiery and rosalind. Thanks also to skyewalker, whom I probably wouldn't hire as an event planner. I especially liked the lip-reading clip. See you all next week.

Congrats, Aristo. Thanks, SW.

I'd have been torn between ros@3 and bbm@16, so not affecting aristo's win.

Very well done aristo. Thank you for your cheering votes mattrom and chris and mentions fj, nemo, pigale and steve (retrospectively!)

Thank you for such a wonderful word to clue, sw. It must be really gutting to arrive a day late for something you really wanted to attend. Do you always remember to take Skye home after your walks?
I hesitate to suggest a wall diary, with the things you really want to attend/do entered in bright red Sharpie, put somewhere you can both see it and your daughter possibly not? My mama used to say I'd be late for my own funeral, which I guess is better than being early for it.
