I'm down to two still to solve, both short ones
16ac - I have D_O_ ... is "covering 10" a reference to 10ac, or perhaps an X? No solutions, please, but hints would be welcome.
25ac - I have N_E_ ...again, hints would be appreciated!

16 Christian as name not religion
25 a star sign and abbreviation for new reversed

The 10 is not a reference to 10ac, nor X. It’s more numeric.
