I am still stuck on 20a: (idiots) drink in the morning before seven in timeless bar (6) I have S??SHU.....help, please

The definition is drink. Bar is to close and seven is the usual abbreviation. I’m not very good at giving hints, so hope this helps!

Samshu is a drink but I do not know how parsing works.

I am looking at 36a answer and 31d answer and trying to figure out what is similar to take out.

Could S for seven AM for morning and SHU(t) work?

But should not it be morning after seven,not before?

I can see that the first 5 letters of 36a and last 4 from 31d could be players in the same game.
