I'm 100% with the others who have Coruscate as the correct answer. I think you're concentrating too much on the 'sparkling' and leading yourself astray!

Thank you Malone. Might just put 'chrysalis' in the grid....It fits, though not sure if they sparkle.

I think you should live dangerously, trelos1 - put in Coruscate, even though you think it's wrong. You won't regret it!

I just couldn't resist this!

'Once a caterpillar has eaten its fill, it finds a nice little nook on a branch somewhere (hopefully out of reach of curious children). It hangs itself upside down from the branch and does one of two things, depending on the species. It’ll either wrap itself tight in a silky cocoon, or molt one final time into a hard, sparkling chrysalis.'
