6 I don't have T as the second letter
18 put an organ inside an abbreviation for Place (definition a bit iffy!)

Possibly you are in Spain rather than Italy for 8a!

6d Gin is a type of animal trap. Lat two letters mean about: first three letters are reversed what you (probably) used to write by any solution to a maths problem.
18d A string of these stones . mid three letters are what you listen with. outer two letters short for place

I'm not at all convinced by my answer to 7a, but I think it's "neck" in the sense of "cheek" or "impudence"
