Well saying I'm out of practice, Red Arrows should be initially capitalised.

Difficult challenge! I liked pigale @7 (Asplenium septentrionale is one of our favourite ferns to find in the wild), dorrien @9, jws @15/17, and ginge's efforts (of course!)

However, for the precision in clueing (once I'd worked it through), I'm going for

meursault @8
