I agree Chrise. I would have got this a lot sooner if I'd realised it was 5ac and not 5d. I thought Paul had the wrong number of letters!!!
Lots more to get and dinner to cook before Spiral. I'm sure I'll be back seeking hints.

27 is an anagram

1 a type of fish round a pudding with the first letter removed

24 fizz - a & shortened term for a prison

1 Fish around a beheaded pudding

27 Anag of two words in clue

24 A Drink

1 the fish might come from Dover
27 I wasn't familiar with this usage - I associate it with grid references. It's an anagram
24 crossword wine. "Can" is slang, but I don't think the clue quite works
