I am badly stuck in the bottom left hand corner, with 14 down and 26 across.
Any hints would be welcome.
And I have no idea about "Part of India's left end (4)" even though I have ?O?I

You have the "left"

Been up stepladders most of the day, decorating my daughter's house, so my brain might well be addled with paint fumes. Struggling on 15ac, 24ac and 19dn. Any hints gratefully received .

Thanks for the hints everyone. Rossim, it was the spelling of the fabulous bird that fooled me too.
All finished now, but I am not sure of the parsing for 20dn. I have a word that means reduce restraint but I am struggling to see the connection with oriental money.

I didn't bother to check because it sounded plausible - however I have now - it's Malaysian.

The first 3 leters are synonymous with can (American slang) and the second 3 oriental money (which I didn't check either!)
