Now the Telegraph is £1.80 I thought I'd try the Times, but I got less than half way with this. Many gaps including:
2d See trouble with British artist fronting game show? (7)
B------
3d Ingenious old bird, female given coat (4-5)
o--- --c--
7d Deserter acts deviously to reveal them, perhaps (5,7)
I don't have any crossing letters.
18d Current cuts are enough to fund strike (3,4)
--- ---0.

I think it means BRAVADO as a synonym for 'Show' - As in 'He's all Show/ Bravado/ Front'

Right, thanks.
Didn't get much enjoyment out of this. With 7d: Deserter acts deviously to reveal them, perhaps (5,7), answer Trade Secrets, how does the surface work? I get that it's an anagram but deserters don't reveal trade secrets, do they? Assuming it means army deserters, then they might reveal military secrets, but not trade secrets. Doesn't seem to make sense to me.

7d is a cryptic clue and as it's a straight anagram it doesn't have to make sense.

It should have a definition. The fact it's an anagram doesn't change that.

7d is an '&lit' clue, (literally so) which means the whole clue is the definition
