Sorry keepatit I've still not idea what either J is. I'm guessing one might be Jaguar but can't see why.
Can't say I've enjoyed this. Got 30 or so answers but only managed to put three in the grid.

According to Wiki, J1 is a car maker from Yorkshire that went out of business in 1954. How many people now can be expected to have heard of it?
Likewise, never heard of J2, don't know what Passion Sunday is or that it had another name.
Far too much tortuous obscurity for me, this was the antithesis of fun.

....by that I mean that it was my favourite in my "Observers' book of cars". I think I only ever saw one, but I saw it quite often, as it lived just up the road from me at the time.
