Is 7d DISTRUST? I can see the definition and the "red" bit, but not the DIST.

Thanks all for the help with the gym equipment! Let's see if I can help someone back. Your answer to 9a is correct and parses with 2 hands in a 4 letter word for the sea ( at least in crosswordland)

Similarly 8 across given in full spoils the fun
