Can't seem to grasp the parse on this one, any help welcome.

20d) Singular art including more blue than others (7)

For anyone who has the grid, I have crossing checked letters from:
19a) score (S)
24a) ai (D) es-de-camp
27a) (E) conomist
29a) detona (T) e

giving me: S - D - E - T

I'm convinced it's SADDEST (more blue than others = def) but can't see anything beyond the 's' for 'singular'

art including = ADDEST - (mock?) archaic form of add

Les, this has me baffled, too.
But, I looked up Bradford's Dictionary and it gives,
"Art," may indicate an -est ending.
Which saddest has.
But I do not know why "art" would indicate an "est" ending!

"Thou addest" = "thou art including"

Eirlys, your attempt was successful, thank you.
Especially when you said Shakespeare!
