I'm really struggling with the last few clues, especially 9 & 29 across and 23, 24 & 27 down. Some hints would be most welcome.

Escuan, 9 deceived me for some time. The first word is the definition, as in 3 Down, in fact Latin for the same thing. 29 : the second word needs to be omitted (and will be useful later). New, S African golfer, ON.
23 also held me up for some time, I'd never seen TEAM used as MATCH. Ser is abbr. for series. 24 : Number one as in urine, Tom as in voyeur, 27 also took me a long time, though never should have done. Just think 'The Right' as in politics...
