Bunty, if you have 1A and 7D there is only one way they can fit together, same applies for 9A/3D and most of the "crossers".

I see what you mean ixion but can't fit 15a and 8d together, Can 8d be split a different way?

15A/8D join at the same letter regardless of direction, but other crossers should tell you how they fit, eg 8D/11A only works one way, same for 15A/15D.

All done, but I'm not happy with 19d. The only way I can make it work is by misspelling a latin phrase (producing an apparent but spurious plural) which should be shown as two words. Have I gone wrong or has Monk?

E not A for penultimate letter in 18a, then 19d will be a reverse entry ?

I usually wait a few days for errors to be corrected.
As jadzia49 reported 3 days ago the form had (and still has) an error inviting us to enter a six letter solution for a non-existent clue at a non-existent 23D instead of 22D(4).
While I did the obvious thing and enter the solution to 22D, I'm wondering if anyone from the Guardian crossword department ever reads this thread.
