Last one.13d) Dicky has the brown bread sandwiches- a bad sign? (6-4). Any hints? I don't want to show the letters I have already, because it wil probably give the 'twist ' to the crossword away.

"Dicky" is an anagrind and "a bad sign" is the defn part.

Looks like an anagram of (has the) in a four letter word tepresented by the expression brown bread.

Oh dear, I thought I was getting on well with this but now nothing fits together - must be using the wrong "two ways". Grrr

Maybe not, just noticed that 8down is two words.

All done except for 2nd and 4th letters of 19 dn. None of the possibles seem to fit the clue but can't see where I might have gone wrong.

tl - think from the start requires some Latin .... as for me, I'm stuck on 2, 4, 5, 14 and 18!

In that case Prospero, my 24 is wrong but can't find an alternative.
