Done a lot of the left hand side! Not the right for some reason.

Also think 5dn is TEMPI or TEMPO - I get the Temp bit from casual worker but not the ending

but now I'm stuck on two interlocking clues......

17D: Demobbed South Africa marine's stopped going outside (8)
D???R?E?

The last letter of 18a is the same as the third letter of 17D

Can anyone help? and parse them , too, please?
