You can tell there's a lot of goodwill in the air. I came on looking for clues to the last seven I had and there were the answers. So a very happy Christmas to all. However if some kind soul could give me a clue to 57a Insignificant friend to do his best. (6) I have p???r?. I'll thank you when I get home from being Father Christmas at my grandson's school. Oy what a job for a Jewish boy!

Insignificant is the definition; the rest is two three letter words "friend" and "do his best".

Despite earlier help I am still stumped by 59A .Like compound resort (5) I hadn't known there is a boxer called Lee needed to help solve 55D. Well I do now! I was hoping someone else would ask for help with 59A but it looks like most people are too busy to do Xword or else found it easy!!

Hi all, looks like I'm the only one having trouble with 58d. The only idea I have is lyre, as a) it's an instrument and;,b) the letters fit. However, I can't fit it with the remaindero f the clue. Any nudges in the right direction gratefully receive!
