It looks like LO-LO, but I can't find that this means anything, let alone "Ma". Any suggestions?

Odd one for an Arachne, in that three of the first four that I entered were just pencilled in, as I wasn't sure they were right (and in fact one of them wasn't!)

I agree , but all in all an enjoyable crossword though easier than many Arachne 's I have seen . The surfaces of the clues were brilliant as we have come to expect from the Spiderwoman.
