Hi chris

announcement for missed - homophone indication for MIST - def.
flight connection - the prefix aero
spanish sun =sol

The def. seems to be doubly cryptic and probably warrants a QM

Well, I thought I had set a tricky word to clue, so I am amazed by the quantity and quality of the entries this week. There are too many good ones for me to mention them all, so I’ll just pick out a few that appealed to me, for a variety of reasons.

The good news story from Paul @3
GK @ 9 (Curiously, when I told my wife what I had set, she came up with the exact same clue!)
Paul @10 – semi &lit?
BBM2’s typical well-constructed effort @12, and also another @30
Paul @23 (as he said, someone had to…………!)
Ixion’s @ 24 and 25
Aristo @26 for showing me that there is a single word for “fear of flying”
Another &lit from therogue @29; also a semi &lit from peterm @35

However my favourite, and this week’s winner is :
Ixion @ 11, with the perfect &lit:
How are loos freshened up? (7)

Your prize (which you might have been expecting) is a scene from a Swedish chemist’s shop:

(Apologies for ruling out “aerosol” = “the can it’s in”. To me that sounds like calling a saucepan a “sauce”.)

Congrats, ixion (missed that one), thanx, chris (also for the mention: glad your wife is on the same wavelength)--- and nice to see another "Not the..." as I was out of the country when that series ran.
