Hello, Elle!
The setter misdirected you with Panama and locks!
That is his aim! A good clue, I think.
Yes, I think it is called a palindrome.
I came across it years ago.
Yes, Wednesdays at B&Q are good for the oldies, if you have a card.
I manage fine without Ikea, thank you!
I am not keen on shops.
It is hard to escape from Ikea, I believe?

Good morning, Rusty!
A fine day so far.....a pleasant, albeit muddy, walk!
I do not think we are going to B &Q and Ikea now, as my husband thinks he is getting a cold....so best for him to stay at home, and keep warm.
I shall look for my seat cushions another time!
Yes, you are right....getting out of Ikea is a nightmare......and not to be attempted by the faint-hearted!
Are you helping out your son again today?

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day here, not cold at all!
I think I may have the same cold bug as your husband.
Sniffling and sneezing here!
No, son's partner is working today.
I have a day off!
Been to ASDA etc.
I would be home for the day but have a birthday card to post to a young one across the water!

Hi, Rusty!
Beautiful day here now....as you say, not cold at all...with blue skies and sunshine!
Long may it last.......though judging by the forecast, this will only be of short duration.
Still, make hay......... and all that jazz!
I do hope that your sniffles will soon be over......
My husband is feeling rough and has gone to lie down.
Keeping him free from infection is difficult!
I have just realised that my efforts with my new wall calendar only got as far as April.... I shall go and finish updating....before I end up missing something vital!
Not in a crossword mood......

Good evening, Rusty!
Just reporting in........
I think my patient is surviving my administrations........!
Actually, he doesn't seem to be too bad...he is snuffly but doesn't have a temperature...
Fortunately, I think it is just a cold!
He has slept for most of the day and has kept warm indoors.
How are you?

Hello, Elle!
How am I, says she!
Well, unlike your husband, I have nobody tending my needs, so I am just getting on with it!
No, the reality is I am not too bad.
Just a wee cold.
It is fairly mild here today, but a bit foggy earlier
Here's another palinwhatsit for you.
"Are we not drawn onwards, we Jews ,drawn onward to new era"
Write it down in your wee book!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, I guess I can only say to you what I am telling my husband...... stay indoors and keep warm!
Especially do not go out if it is foggy or misty. else the cold might go on your chest......
(Shades of my mother talking here!)
That is a good palindrome"
Where are you finding these?
The only one I know is "Able was I ere I saw Elba"
Attributed to Napoleon........but apparently not actually coined until long after his death.

Hello, Elle!
Very good advice from you. Thank you!
I have my fleece shirt on, and fleece lined Kiwis, so am quite warm!
"Madam, I'm Adam" is another.
There are a lot of clever folk making these up.
Probably websites of them, too.
Another good puzzle today.
A ministering angel like you would not have time to do it?

Hi, Rusty!
Uhm.......in days of yore, I would probably be dispensing calf's foot jelly.....
Isn't that what the heroines of novels used to take to invalids....?
YB isn't very well either...he has a bad ear infection, and the GP has put him on antibiotics!
Poor little mite!
I did some of the crossword......I liked "Augean stables"!
"Glitterati" was a new word for me.
I have been reading a book by Joanna Trollope.
What are you reading?

Hello, Elle!
Augean stables was my first one.
Yes, I knew Glitterati.
A year or two ago I was struggling for an answer for the name of a star.
I consulted Anne Bradford's Dictionary and she has lists of stars.
I spotted one called "Celeb" and thought, that is not a familiar name?
It was quite a few weeks later that I discovered that Celeb is an abbreviation of "celebrity", that kind of star.
I know nothing about calf's foot jelly!
It used to be beef tea invalids got.
I have not had that either, but suspect it may be like Bovril?
I have no books on the go at the minute.
Is there another Trollope who wrote a book?
