Hello, Elle!
You can see the Tower from the golf course.
There was torrential rain and sunshine at the same time on the course.

I am going to see young Miss O'Hara tomorrow.
It is her birthday today.
She is eleven...I think!

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been nostalgically reading up about Fleetwood on Google!
In the days when I spent time there, it was but a small fishing village....seemingly, it is now a popular holiday resort!
I wonder would I like it still, were I to go back?
Ah well, I doubt anyway that will happen......
Are you all having a birthday tea party for Miss O'Hara?
If she is to be 11, that makes her just over a year older than our eldest grandson.
He will be 10 in September.
He will go to Secondary school a year this coming September.
I am unsure of the Scottish system - altho' I should know because of my cousin's grandkids........
Do children go to Secondary school at 11 as they do in England?
Some places - like Bournemouth - offer Middle School education; coming in between Primary and Secondary school.

Hello, Elle!
No tea party that I am aware of.
I am going to visit in the morning, that way they have the rest of the day to themselves.
I think it is eleven years old they go to Secondary school.
Not sure though.
May be twelve?
I remember I was at secondary for two and a half years.
Left when I became 15.
I think they leave at 16, nowadays, if they are not staying on for Highers etc.
Or is it A levels?
I am afraid I do not know much about it.

Hello, Elle!
Eilish has just posted a very nice smiley photograph on Twitter, of herself, Laura, and ....Paula Radcliffe!, after a training run in Monaco.
I am fairly sure Paula lives in Monaco.

Hi, Rusty!
I have a feeling that it is Highers and Advanced Highers that my cousin's eldest grandchild studied?
I could be wrong though!
He is now at university, although I've since forgotten which one?
I remember that it the one where your friend lectures........?
Goodness, my memory is getting like a colander!
Yes, I think you are right about Paula's living in Monaco.
I seem to remember her moving there after the "upset" she had with her racing - it must have been about ten years ago?
After the Athens Olympics.
I think she said it was to do with no longer wanting to be recognised here......
And the advantages of training in the Pyrenees?
At least, she seems happy in her own skin now, and has put all that behind her.
It is good to see her commentating on television.

Good morning, Elle!
Still a bit dull here.
I believe there are tax advantages for living in Monaco, too?
Though the climate etc is excellent for all the sports stars living there, and for their training.
Froome and quite a few cyclists live there.
Anyway, it was a smashing pic of Eilish, Laura, and Paula.
Last day of Le Tour today and the golf finishes, too.

Good morning, Rusty!
Lovely out earlier.....but growing dull now.
We had quite a (comparatively) chilly night.... and it is still cooler today.....
Consequently, I feel much better this morning for some decent sleep!
It is good to have some energy back...I have hated this heat and humidity.
I did wonder about Monaco having possible tax advantages, but decided against mentioning it, in case you thought I was being cynical!!
Considering the number of sports persons who live there, there surely must be some financial gain?
You will be busy today, with visiting the birthday girl this morning..... and then watching the last days of both the cycling and the golf!
What time are you going to see Miss O'H?

Hello, Elle!
I visited at 9.45.
Bit rainy here!
Seems to be a fine day at Birkdale!
I think it is well known that Monaco is a haven to many tax dodgers.
Has been known to be for years.
Though I am sure it is a nice place to live.
A good climate etc.
I am heading out in fresh clean clothes.
My granddaughter's dog is very boisterous and spilled my coffee all down my shirt etc!
We remain friends though!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear! I hope you got a replacement cup of coffee!
We have just returned from a walk....narrowly missing the rain!
It was spooky when out ...I had just remarked to my husband that we hadn't seen an old friend for quite a while.....and barely had the words left my mouth.....when he hailed us from behind!
A quite astonishing coincidence!
Are you watching Le Tour...or the golf - or having to juggle between the two?
I shall watch the closing day of the Parathletics later on.
The Everyman was easy today...I much prefer having to struggle a bit!

Hello, Elle!
No replacement coffee!
I got out quickish!
I am watching the golf.
Very entertaining!
The Tour wont get to Paris until teatime.
Something they have done for a few years.
Not sure why!
i always thought that Everyman was on the easy side.
Bit like Rufus in the Guardian on Mondays.
I stopped getting a Sunday paper years ago!
