Well, I've done the last few with little shoves and hints from you all and thank you. Would agree that some of the clues (and solutions)were nice ones. I wish though that this compiler was a little more accurate in his/her definitions. EG 7 down The answer isn't a cove. To me a cove is an inlet or a bay at a stretch. What I have is usually known as the sort of stream I would not like to be up without a paddle.
