27a .... to add to previous answers. Not 'range of spirit', but the reverse, ie 'spirit of range'. An oread is a mountain nymph.

How's the phone, Ginge? I still haven't hooked up the printer to my tablet.

31 sounds like marker, usually a brightly coloured big felt pen.

31d. is a homophone of MARKER (pen) I think.

Many, many thanks Ginge, Kettledrum and Syzygy, that was some very impressive parsing.

Hi syzygy,
no success as yet. Didn't upgrade my phone as the options were no better than my current one so took a 12 month sim only contract so I'll review the situation early next year. I'm still interested to know how you get on, cheers.

You're welcome, Brendan.

OK, I'll take a chance. I once wrote a clue for that answer in which I beheaded Bambi and that caused a major uproar here. Hey, it was just a clue.
Don't get me started on the PC lurkers. The concept of humour seems to elude them as well, but they rule & threads get deleted.

11D Young deer's first born appearing to lack three feet (5) - IAMBI

Young deer = (b)AMBI
first born appearing to lack [delete B]
appearing to lack three feet (deer have four, leaving one) = I, [&lit ?]
feet = IAMBI

Perhaps a stretch, but the best I can come up with.
