27a .... to add to previous answers. Not 'range of spirit', but the reverse, ie 'spirit of range'. An oread is a mountain nymph.

31 sounds like marker, usually a brightly coloured big felt pen.

31d. is a homophone of MARKER (pen) I think.

no success as yet. Didn't upgrade my phone as the options were no better than my current one so took a 12 month sim only contract so I'll review the situation early next year. I'm still interested to know how you get on, cheers.

Don't get me started on the PC lurkers. The concept of humour seems to elude them as well, but they rule & threads get deleted.
