grateful for your attempts to help me solve number 78 but I'm afraid my brain is not working on this one, I'll keep plugging away at it and see if anything jumps out at me.

Hello everyone, thanks for the helpful hints which have been given. With the help of these hints, I am now down to the last nine but, having problems solving them. I would appreciate some help for any of the following:-
20.Entertainment where Tom goes round naked!......(7)
24.Theatrical district in the Cotswolds? (8)
25.Hear critical assessment of loosely constructed entertainment. (5)
27.US playwright, single,not in good health. (6)
39.Winter cabbage previously found in old Sardinia. (5)
47.Writer and physician who had a fine violin,by the way.
66.Saturn, Jupiter and Pluto can provide a distant view. (4)

Hi Chasm. Nobody seems to have helped with these clues.
In fairness they have all been answered before but here goes...
20. an animal tom ..., backwards (goes round) + another word for naked . make into an anagram
24. Look up places in the cotswolds and find a place that is the same as a theatrical district.
25.What is a critical write up of a show called - change the spelling of this word ( but it sounds the same)
27. A word for single +another word for unwell
39.Type of cabbage
47. two letters for physician + a name of a famous italian violin maker + abbrev for a 'way'
66.what else are saturn, jupiter and pluto (not planets)

Sorry I didn't answer you sooner chasm - I've only just logged on.
Glad to have been of help, probably be in touch when this quiz comes round again.
None of us know what each other look like but the familiar names keep popping up and it is so friendly.

hello scorpiojo, you gave me a clue for number 78 previously (that the answer was on page 7 of this thread)
but I'm not sure that I've got it right, can you give any more helpful clue to this one, it's the only one I need to complete the puzzle.
